Servo-Tek's dc servo control systems can be programmed to operate
either as velocity or positioning servos, and can easily be converted
from one operational mode to the other This conversion is accomplished
with a programming connector--no internal modifications are necessary.
The systems consist of a dc servomotor/tach-generator combination
(with optional gearing) and a servo amplifier package. Systems
provide 2.0 oz-in. of torque (ungeared), up to 75 oz-in. with
integral gearing.
For further application information on the dc servo control systems,
write for Servo-Tek's manual, "DC Servo Control System."
Servo-Tek motor-generators are designed for use in high performance velocity and positioning servo systems, and in other applications requiring a motor and generator in combination. The servomotor and tach generator are mounted on a common shaft, eliminating the coupling problems that can limit servo design specifications. Integral gearing can also be supplied as part of the package.
Motors are available with operating voltages from 5 to 48 Vdc at 10,000 rpm. Continuous output torques range up to 2.0 oz-in. (ungeared) and to 75 oz-in. with integral gearing.
Tachs provide output voltages up to 10 V/1000 rpm.
Integral gear trains are available in various ratios as specified
bottom left. Units with gear reducers have operating temperature
range of 0 to 212°F.
